G’day Viewers

How was your break over the festive period? Fast enough?

Yes, that’s it! The holiday is over, feet back under the desk, nose to the grindstone and back into it for another year. I’m always amazed at how the first couple of holiday days leisurely tick over and then the closer we get to the end the faster the days start ticking over and suddenly it’s like they never happened at all. We’ve all been there. I know I have. Sitting at the desk wishing I was right back there. After one Eastern European holiday, I was back in Eastern Europe only three weeks after I arrived at work.

The year ahead will be full of challenges that will be better handled if it had a semblance of planning to it. Everyone will be talking about setting goals and making plans to ensure the year ahead is a success and you move forward. It would be a good idea to join all of those people by having a really good think about what it is you want to achieve by the end of the year. What personal and/or professional growth do you want to take on board? How did you go last year? Did you make your goals, stick to the plan and achieve all that you had attempted? Most wouldn’t have.

I’ve found that a good way to ponder such ideas in depth is to take a cup of your favourite morning brew and sit right in the middle of the back yard while you watch the kids run around, the dog chasing the kids or just watching the birds and bees go about their morning. Ideas seem to just jump inside your head while you’re sitting in such a relaxed state. Take the pressure off and let the voice inside your head run you through a few ideas.

Let the voice take you where it wants to. Chances are that you’ll feel a little overwhelmed if you try to control it. The only rule is: don’t let it tell you that you can’t do it. We know that’s BS. Think about the last time you did something you didn’t think you could do. Whoever thought they could bring up kids before they did it? Did you think you could hold down a job, start a business or join the Army when you were in high school? Whoever thought you could turn that dragster bicycle from the ‘70s into a classic 850cc John Player Norton? Mine did!

If your pesky younger brother was sitting beside you telling you that you can’t do something because you’re not good enough, you’d likely chase him around the house with the intent of committing some form of physical violence on him. If you’ve got a voice inside your head trying that caper, kick it out the front door.

Do you want to show that pesky younger brother just exactly what you can do when you hit your straps? Once you’ve silenced that voice, give us a call at Premier Property Buyers Australia. We’re happy to have a free no obligation chat about how you can silence the critics.
